Grants of up to US$ 10,000 will be available to support research studies of up to 12 months in duration, depending on the scope and focus of the study as well as the study setting. Research funded under this call is expected to focus on the generation of new strategies and knowledge that will enable more effective implementation of existing programmes within health systems. Implementers of health programs are the main target audience for this call.
Letters of intent will be judged on the potential of the research to make a difference in the delivery of health programmes. Other criteria that will be taken into account include value for money, institutional capacity, as well as ensuring diversity in terms of issues addressed by the research. Only those applicants who submit an acceptable Letter of Intent will be invited to submit a full application for a grant at a later date.
